Hi Scott, Andrea, Mikeala, Joel, Tedra and Jesse,
I saw your title of this post and thought how appropriate. She is free from the pain that she was experiencing. However she is dancing with the angels and Seeing God's face. How wonderful is that. As sad as it is that she has left us. It is a time of celebration as we know she is now in the hands of and care of Jesus.
My thoughts are with you all.
If you need anything please call me. I love ya's
Your sis Rose.

Dear Scott and family,
Thank you for entitling the blog, "She is free" because she truly is!!! We are saddened to know our time of friendship with her has had earthly boundaries, but Joy now is so completely whole, vibrant and loving her Lord...and pain free.
We thank you for the wonderful family you have been for her because she loved each of you so dearly and spoke of you with love, pride and enthusiasm. You each had such places in her heart!
Please be confident of our prayers in the days and weeks ahead. Just as God has been faithful to Joy, He will remain faithful to meet every heart's cry and to comfort you completely. Our love goes out to you.
I deeply treasure the memories of working with Joy. She was such an inspiration! Such a friend! I miss her.
lovingly,
Elizabeth [and Jack, too]

I second Elizabeth's post. She spoke so highly of each of family members. She always had this glow about her, the joy of the Lord for sure. I treasure each memory I have from working with her.

She truly is free - no pain. Through all, God is glorified.

We will be praying hard this weekend for you all - Scott, Andrea, Mikaela, Joel, Tedra, Jesse and baby Barton soon to arrive. In death, there is still life to be given. Baby Barton will be a testiment to that:) Praise God.

I read your post today and I am so happy that she is with the Lord right now, free from pain! Can't you just see her right now partying it up?! Yes, your mum and wife and grandma is partying right now! Way cool!

Through our sadness, we all must remember that we are all truly blessed to have known Joy and her joyfulness. Her smile alone was a reflection of the love and devotion she to her Lord and Saviour! We appreciate her example very much.

God bless your family and extended family Andrea, Tedra, Joel, and Scott. We love you and God Bless you all.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Joy. Although it is a loss to everyone who knew her it is good to know that she is no longer in pain. I can say that everyone’s life is richer and better for knowing her. My Thoughts are with all of you

Dear Scott and Family

I didn't know Joy and maybe met her once but she proved to me, during the past six months, to be such a courageous woman. Only a special person would allow their life to be exposed in such a personal way. I'm sure it was her unique closeness to God, family and others that allowed her to do that. Not only can we be inspired by that courage but also we should never take for granted the relatively short time we have with the special people we love so much. God has set her free of pain, frustration and tears, only in a way that he understands and Jesus would have opened his arms to receive her. Joy knew that so well.
God Bless, Roy (and Cousin Diane)

My heart goes out to you as a family knowing the journey ends for Joy with the best of life eternal, but the journey of grief and daily adjustments without her is just beginning for you. May the God of all comfort wrap his arms around you and give you his all sufficient grace, peace and strength as you walk on with Him.

Dear Scott, Andrea, Joel, Tedra and family,
Our hearts go out to you all and we pray for God's comfort and peace for each one of you, in His own way, through this very difficult time. All I have been able to pray the last few days is for a deep joy and peace to remain in Joy's spirit. What an awesome God we have who is right there in the valley of the shadow of death...and He never leaves us. Life has really just begun for Joy and time will seem like it was only a moment when we see her again.
Love from Dave & Lynn

Only really knew Joy through her blog and our daughter,FranFoulds. I have been going on the same journey with breast cancer as Joy and to date have been more fortunate than her but who knows what tomorrow may bring. I found her blogs very comforting and admire her courage and faith. our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time

Dear Scott and Family:
My heart goes out to you at this time but to know that Joy is home and free from her pain is a blessing. I just read about Joy's passing in the paper today. I have sent my cousin Darlene an email with the details of Joy's passing but I am not sure if she is home or away. May God be with you and your family and watch over you. Mary Armstrong

Scott and family, you have always been in our prayers and will continue to be so. I believe it will not be long until we all gather together before our Lord Jesus. "When we all get to heaven...what a day of rejoicing that will be."

Dear Scott and Family,
We extend our deepest sympathy to you. Yet we know that Joy is now before our Heavenly Father rejoicing with all that have gone before us.
Scott, I remember in 1980, when I got saved and came to Evangel for the short time that the Lord had me there, Joy was the director for the 'singing Christmas tree'. I joined it that year, not even knowing what a singing Christmas tree was, but I remember what a blessing it was to me, and what a beautiful Christian example Joy was to me. Many times over the years, it was always my good pleasure as well as Elliot's to run into both of you on different occasions. Blessings and peace to you during this time. You are in our prayers.

In the brief period of time I've had the privilege of knowing both Joy and Scott, Joy has always been a Tower of Faith --- in what she said and what she did - her Life.
During these past few weeks I've watched her turn her pain into FUEL for her JOURNEY, (without one complaint) totally trusting Jesus.
Someone once said that "sometimes God's Greatest Gifts to us come in what we think are unanswered prayers." Joy, you've touched many lives and we will miss you.

It is with great saddness that I received the news of your mother's passing from my mother. I attended Evangel Church with your parents years ago and your father, Scott, is a distant relative.

Please accept our sincere sympathies. Mom (Margaret Willson) and myself will be praying for your family. Your mother is free of pain and resting in Jesus' arms.

Dear Scott, Andrea, Mikeala, Joel,Tedra and Jesse

We are deeply sadden to hear of Joy's passing. Even as Christians I beleive we struggle to understand why God would take her home so soon. However it is comforting to know that His word states He will never leave us nor forsake us- Truly God will see you through and strengthen your family in the days, weeks & months ahead!!Tuely Joy served the Lord with all her heart, which will leave a long lasting impact in our hearts & lives. May God continue to strengthen you for the journey ahead. The apostle John taught that our loving service to others shows that we are truely saved. He said,"Our love for each other proves that we have gone from death to life" Joy is now free to walk on those streets of pure Gold!!!
We will continue to remember & lift you all up in prayer.

Pastor Scott, you always made me feel welcome at church, & with your silly jokes at Seniors Luncheons. I hope you told Joy that I liked her cute/chic shoes about 2 months ago. Now she,s 'walkin' all over God's Heaven' in new ones, if we wear shoes there. God be with you & comfort your family.

Hi Scott and family:

It was such an honor and privilege to attend this amazing service in memory of cousin Joy!!

I was never so proud in all my life of my family as I was this day and I hope the closeness continues for all of us. Let's keep the faith and keep the touch of each other as often as we can.

She was indeed a special person and I remember going into the Christian Book Store, just to talk to her on occasion. Her smile, her warmth and her beauty was simply amazing.

Gone but never forgotten. My prayers are with all of you at this time and I know with God's love, our lives have been truly blest!!!

My love to you all
Linda Newton-Tyler (Jenna and Kendra too)
